heres a black and white recipe...we altered a little, reading the reviews helped. but i think they taste like the ones in NY!

My all time favorite cookies are the Russian Tea cookies, they are just SO good with a nice cup of hot tea! But why do I only think about making this at Christmastime, especially with my own little Russian helper right here with me?

I'm collecting all your fav cookie recipes from this thread. I know it takes time to type up a cookie recipe but wouldn't it be fun to have our very own American Girl Fans Message Board Cookies book?

If I made all your cookies, it would be like I was visiting at your house. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] When I make lots of cookies, I usually keep a couple from each batch in the freezer. Then weeks, or even months later, the boys and I will thaw a couple packs of cookies to go with our afternoon tea. It's nice having the luxury of a tray of cookies on a day too busy for baking.

What I can do is copy all the recipes into a Word document. It would be super if you have a photo of the cookies too so I can include that with your recipe in the document. Then, say in January, I'll finish formatting the file and send it to anyone who wants it. That way, you all can print it any way you want.

I love your idea. My favorite is the very first post.

Last night we made sugar cookies with my new cookie press.They were delicious and my kitchen was a MESS afterwards. Elijah got hold of the sugar sprinkles and went wild. My 21 year old son dropped in and now we have NO MORE cookies. It was fun. I just love Christmas...

MMM... I love cookies. I'm writing a paper right now but I'll just post the shortest cookie recipe I know. My mom made it up for my sister and I when we were little so we would have an easy recipe to follow. I make them all the time because they are yummy!

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies:

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup oatmea1
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg

Mix. We make them into little balls and press them down with a fork. Then, bake them 12-15 minutes at 350.

SO EASY!
